Jeanne Voelker was born during WWII and spent her childhood years in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. She graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 1980 with a degree in English literature. She studied literature and composition because she considers stories essential to life.
She has always admired a well-told tale and for many years, stories have amused, encouraged, educated, and sustained her. Now it’s her turn to add to the pot. She writes from her remodeled farmhouse in Seattle where she also has a well-established tutoring business.
